On the 31st, Kana and I went back to her parent’s house to make New Year’s food. On the 30th we made mochi. Today we would be making the rest of the traditional Japanese foods served during the New Year holiday. For example, as a family we were making a bunch of food and then splitting [...] This weekend I had a lot of fun. I went to Tokyo for 4 days. Tuesday is a national holiday here in Japan and I took Monday off. So I had a 4 day weekend. I left on Friday night and didn’t come back until Tuesday night. It was a very fun time. Friday night was [...] Let me tell you some of the highlights. August 18-22nd – I was in Chiba. It was very fun and I got to stay in a nice hotel free of charge. Also breakfast and lunch was free.
