What you ask? Recycling food? What ever do you mean Brayton? This is a batch of bread pudding I made last week. Happy New Year. Although the 1st was actually like what? 17 days ago? Anyway this is what we ate for breakfast. I don’t actually remember what else we did on the 1st. I think we cleaned a bunch and went to a shrine. I can’t remember what else we did. We may have gone to the [...] On the 31st, Kana and I went back to her parent’s house to make New Year’s food. On the 30th we made mochi. Today we would be making the rest of the traditional Japanese foods served during the New Year holiday. For example, as a family we were making a bunch of food and then splitting [...] Mochi can be translated into “rice cake.” But it no way shape or form is it a “cake.” Cake is supposed to be soft and fluffy and frosted and awesome. Although cake can be used to describe hard flat objects, in most cases this refers to soap. I refuse to call mochi “rice cake.” I [...] I wasn’t very busy at work today (no classes on Monday). I did manage to go through a couple bunches of photos and decide on some of the better pictures. So once I get those whittled down to a reasonable number, I’ll be uploading them to the internet.
